The Program Therapist role is integral to the Acute Mental Health department, focusing on providing intensive stabilization services for children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health concerns. This position works closely with psychiatric providers and a multi-disciplinary team to lead treatment for youth with high-risk psychiatric needs, including suicidal thoughts, homicidal thoughts, and psychosis. The role involves providing individual, family, and group therapy in settings such as Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), or inpatient mental health units. Program Therapists are trained in crisis intervention, resource mobilization, and may be required to support or facilitate physical holds and restraints in high-stress situations. The Program Therapist II may also have opportunities to provide clinical supervision.
