Program Supervisor – Rec Basketball League
About The Position
The Program Supervisor oversees youth Recreation Basketball League games and maintains safety standards and practices at all times. The role follows and enforces town and department policies and ensures quality customer service for program participants. The supervisor provides onsite oversight of Saturday league games, staff, referees, coaches, players, and spectators, and supports sportsmanship throughout each game. The position also involves preparing written reports, rosters, and documents; communicating with supervisors, coaches, referees, participants, and parents; managing the clock and keeping score; and carrying out other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and supervising staff in a youth sports environment.
- Working knowledge of basketball.
- Working knowledge of scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills.

- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license and transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite supervision for league games on Saturdays.
- Oversee staff and referees during games.
- Monitor coaches, players, and spectators throughout games to ensure sportsmanship.
- Prepare written reports as requested, prepare rosters, and maintain documents.
- Communicate with supervisors, coaches, referees, participants, and parents.
- Ensure participant safety and well-being through high-quality risk management.
- Manage the clock and keep score for all games.
- Follow and enforce town and department policies.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
