About The Position

The School Aged Child Care Program Staff will assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 5-13 at the Kids Club (Boys & Girls Club of Worcester). This is a part-time, year-round position, Monday-Friday, 2pm-6pm. The role involves complying with EEC regulations and providing a safe and enriching environment for youth development. Boys & Girls Clubs of Worcester serves over 500 kids daily and is committed to guiding the youth of the community toward a fulfilling future.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (per EEC regulations).
Must have reliable transportation.
All applicants will be required to pass a criminal offender record information check (CORI), a national background check and will need to be fingerprinted in accordance with EEC regulations.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
One year experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
Confidence in providing academic support, as needed, to members.
Competency in navigating remote learning tools, technology equipment and modes of instruction.
Strong computer skills.
Communication skills: Informing, Listening, Writing.
CPR and First Aid certifications.
Bilingual preferred (Spanish & English).

Responsibilities

Assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 5-13.
Comply with EEC regulations.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Perform light cleaning and assume other duties as assigned.
Be physically active and consistently work on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time.
