Program Staff, School Aged Child Care, Part Time, M-F afterschool
About The Position
The School Aged Child Care, Lead Staff, position at the Kids Club (Boys & Girls Club of Worcester) is a part-time, year-round role. The staff member will be responsible for providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children aged 5-13, while also complying with EEC regulations. This position is ideal for a motivated individual interested in working with youth and making a difference in the community. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Worcester is a non-profit organization dedicated to guiding the youth of the community toward a fulfilling future, serving over 500 kids daily across three locations in Worcester.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Strong computer skills.
- Communication skills: Informing, Listening, Writing.
- Must pass a criminal offender record information check (CORI).
- Must pass a national background check.
- Must be fingerprinted in accordance with EEC regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- One year experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
- CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English).
Responsibilities
- Assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 5 -13.
- Comply with EEC regulations.
- Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Perform light cleaning and assume other duties as assigned.
- Consistently work on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time, be physically active.
- Provide academic support, as needed, to members.
- Navigate remote learning tools, technology equipment and modes of instruction.

- Recognize thirteen holidays annually and our centers are closed. Additionally, if the holiday falls on a weekend day, we will be closed the Friday or Monday closest to the holiday.
