About The Position

The Continuing Education (CE) Program Specialist provides administrative, clerical, and project-based support to instructional programs within the Division of Extended Learning. This role provides primary frontline support for Program Directors and Managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Communication or related field required
  • 2 years related experience required
  • Valid Texas Driver License
  • MS Office Programs
  • Information Management Systems
  • Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a database of all contacts, programs, and related data which is utilized in periodic reports.
  • Identify and schedule classroom space as needed.
  • Coordinate program activities and presentation materials for program events.
  • Monitor and document program activities and performance, and report results.
  • Develop, implement and maintain operational procedures.
  • Serve as liaison with internal and external entities to develop and maintain working relationships to increase use of program services and promote HCC.
  • Develop program related documents and forms, verify accuracy, completeness and compliance with program guidelines; oversee its maintenance and updates in support of program objectives and measurement criteria.
  • Develop and monitor the assigned program budgets, which include all direct and indirect costs, in consultation with fiscal leadership and other program directors.
  • Coordinate assigned program meetings and events.
  • Provide data entry and verification for state and internal reports as requested.
  • Develop public relation initiatives as needed to accomplish program objectives, in cooperation with the HCCS Office of Communications.
  • Participate in management team initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with community partners.
  • Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
