About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Program Quality Engineering Associate Manager to support the Strategic Reentry Program portfolio, specifically within the Advanced Strategic Programs area. This role involves leading a Program Quality Assurance team, overseeing LM manufacturing and supply chain hardware for all programs in the portfolio, and managing day-to-day QA functions while directly supporting the program management office. The position requires frequent internal and external customer interaction and demands Full Spectrum Leadership qualities. The Associate Manager will be responsible for coordinating recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignment, and recognition/disciplinary actions for their team. They will lead collaboration with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and peer QA functions to ensure quality standards are met, and will supervise internal and external audits of the quality system, supporting program-level Corrective Action Boards (CABs) and strategic projects. Active engagement and monitoring of team workload, throughput, and performance are also key responsibilities, along with supporting the program business rhythm and providing QA guidance.

Requirements

  • Quality experience or equivalent in a test or production environment or manufacturing and/or supply chain environment.
  • Ability to work with discrepancy documents in SAP or other databases/anything similar or root cause analyses methodologies.
  • Experience with quality or manufacturing engineering processes or policies and/or quality systems management requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with special processes and controls.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black belt certifications.
  • Experience directly engaging with customers.
  • 9+ years of professional experience with a bachelors degree; or 7+ years of professional experience with a Masters degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic cross-functional projects.
  • Proven experience and/or certifications as a Quality Engineer.
  • Proven ability to manage Quality Assurance efforts in accordance with enterprise-level and Program specific requirements.
  • Understanding of AS9100 Quality System requirements and special process approval.
  • Experience with SAP (ERP) and EPDM (Configuration Management).
  • Customer/DCMA focused behavior and problem-solving abilities.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
