About The Position

Lockheed Martin is a global leader in aerospace, defense, and technology solutions. LM SPACE is reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity. We are seeking a Manager to lead a Ground Software Agile Product team supporting multiple OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) programs. This role is part of the Missile Warning and NGG Ground OPIR programs, providing next generation ground systems with an open architecture/open framework for flexibility. The successful candidate will lead a SAFE Agile Product team of 15-20 individual contributors focused on the design, development, and testing of a combined hardware/software solution for operational delivery. They will also assist the existing leadership team with vetting, hiring, staffing, and building strong teams. This is a MID-SENIOR CAREER (level 4) ROLE requiring 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.

Requirements

Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
Experience with Agile methodology or Lean thinking
Experience with software development programs
Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
Technical team leadership experience
Strong project management ability; consistently delivers multi-disciplinary, high risk programs on schedule and within budget
5+ years of professional experience
BS degree or above
Must be a US Citizen
