Requirements

  • A current and valid nursing license with the state board of nursing within the state of practice.
  • At least two years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience in a clinical or surgical center setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the surgery center in accordance with surgery center policies and procedures.
  • Fostering, developing, and maintaining close relationships with designated team to ensure healthy internal relationships.
  • Maintaining staff schedules to support surgical volumes, while being mindful of overtime utilization.
  • Working with training specialists to assess gaps in knowledge and adjust as necessary.
  • Ensuring seamless transitions for patients and surgeons and identifies patient experience gaps for evaluation and resolution.
  • Ensuring appropriate surgical center staffing, and overseeing the hiring, orientation, training, coaching, and counseling of staff.
  • Assisting in quarterly audits of the facility and presenting during surveys.
  • Reviewing monthly patient satisfaction scores to assess areas of opportunity and provide necessary coaching and/or recognition.
  • Participating in annual performance reviews by providing feedback and identifying development needs and opportunities for staff.
