About The Position

CRJ’s Reentry Services supports people leaving incarceration in making positive, sustainable life transitions. The division focuses on outcomes and delivers contemporary, evidence-based services. The Program Monitor helps create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals in group homes. The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, on third shift, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The starting rate is $18 per hour, or $20 per hour with shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations.
Experience with electronic documentation and report writing.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
Prior experience in security.
Prior experience working in residential or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

Perform general reception duties, sign residents in and out, answer calls, greet and sign in visitors, conduct telephone spot checks, and sort and distribute mail.
Conduct scheduled house rounds and life-safety checks, perform nightly bed checks, conduct bag, pat, and room searches, and monitor residents’ daily details.
Collect urine samples according to schedule and complete documentation; administer alco-sensor tests.
Serve as a prosocial role model and support residents’ behavior change by conveying information and responding to concerns, needs, and complaints.
Enter appropriate documentation in SecureManage.
Attend required training and staff meetings.
Perform other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed.
