About The Position

SEAKR Engineering is seeking a high-energy, early- to mid-career Program Manager to lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of satellite electronics. The Program Manager is empowered to deliver products that meet customer needs on time and within budget, and is accountable for achieving high standards across program execution. The role coordinates program activities for a moderately complex program and leads cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
5–12 years of experience are desired.
Ability to work well with people, self-teach, lead and adjudicate technical decision-making, and step in to help at any level or function when challenges arise.
Prior experience leading teams on coordinated technical efforts.
U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree is desired.
Prior subcontract-management experience is desired.

Responsibilities

Deliver programs to schedule, cost, quality, and performance parameters by coordinating and directing program activities.
Serve as the primary interface with customers, vendors, and internal personnel.
Motivate and provide leadership to the broader program team.
Manage interdepartmental requirements and resources across a matrixed engineering department, including engineering, business development, contracts, and finance.
Create and maintain baseline schedules, change logs, scope, and costs, and monitor key program-health metrics.
Develop and implement a proactive risk-management process.
Lead cross-functional efforts for major program gate reviews.
Organize and manage the change-control process and support negotiations and change-proposal efforts.
Manage projects requiring Earned Value Management in Cost Plus and Firm Fixed environments.
