MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As an Engineering Sr Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Ship Signatures Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division. You will play a crucial role in managing a highly skilled team with comprehensive engineering, scientific, technical, and programmatic support services for research, development, test, and evaluation activities associated with acoustic and non-acoustic ship signatures to enhance our Navy's stealth. ● Collaborate with government, academia, and private industry stakeholders to achieve program objectives and the mission, ● Drive key outcomes and how the the team innovates and resolves challenges, ● Utilize and develop specific tools, skills or technologies in the role WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Engineering Sr Manager must have:

Requirements

  • Education: BS
  • Experience: 20 years of related experience managing Navy systems projects related to U.S. Navy submarine or surface ship signature measurement or reduction.
  • Twelve years of experience in program planning and management experience in: o Long-range technology development project analysis and documentation at the Exploratory and advanced Development R&D levels o Financial status monitoring of projects involving multiple funding categories o Acoustic recording systems development and certification, advanced development sonars, or ship signature Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) projects o Signature measurement systems management, underwater acoustic programs, or ship signature trial planning
  • Security clearance level: Secret/TS/SCI Eligible
  • US citizenship required
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
  • Work location is primarily government site
