Program Manager, Denver

Ambrook•Denver, CO

About The Position

Ambrook is hiring a Program Manager to run programs across the company, including placemaking, events, technology enablement, design program management, research management, and special projects. The role turns loosely defined tasks into plans, budgets, and systems that can scale with the company. The Program Manager will lead placemaking for Ambrook’s Denver office, helping make it a welcoming workspace and a place for Denver builders and designers to meet the company. The role also partners with co-founder Jeff Anders on priority projects, supports the design team and its creative operations, helps customers and candidates engage with Ambrook, organizes community events, and improves how employees access software and other tools. The scope may extend across the company’s offices and distributed team.

Requirements

  • 1 to 8 years of experience in roles such as operations, recruiting, hospitality, design operations, or production.
  • Hospitable, with attention to craft and to the needs of guests, event communications, and workspace design.
  • Motivated to improve inefficient systems rather than work around recurring problems.
  • Comfortable with tools, including setting up new-hire accounts, troubleshooting a conference room, and using AI to save time on recurring work.
  • Knowledge of talented people in key Denver circles, including tech, startups, design, research, and industry.

Responsibilities

  • Own placemaking in the Denver office, including team rituals, guests, vendors, supplies, equipment, and access.
  • Partner with the co-founder as a founder’s associate by preparing for key meetings and hires, leading special projects end to end, and driving decisions to completion.
  • Lead design program management by coordinating critique agendas, preparing product review materials, and identifying opportunities to communicate the design vision.
  • Evaluate and provision new design and AI tools, and maintain media libraries and press kits.
  • Work with the creative director to organize a network of specialists and contractors, including printers, illustrators, and photographers.
  • Recruit customers for research sessions and product pilots, and plan and join customer visits in Colorado and elsewhere in the country.
  • Run local candidate onsites and organize portfolio reviews from invitation through follow-up.
  • Plan coffees, dinners, meetups, and company activations; curate guests and topics for events.
  • Improve technology enablement in partnership with department managers and other program managers, covering onboarding, offboarding, and rollout of software and AI tools.
  • Document effective processes so they can support the company as it grows.
  • Create AI-supported systems to address recurring process problems.
