Program Manager

Strategic HR Client•Cincinnati, OH

About The Position

Found Village is seeking a Program Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio, to design and lead a connected portfolio of developmental experiences that strengthen young people’s belonging, confidence, leadership, community, and opportunity. The role leads the Youth Experience Team and coordinates programming, logistics, transportation, volunteers, communications, and community partnerships as one system. Early in the role, the Program Manager will also perform Program Coordinator responsibilities to learn the work firsthand and build the systems, documentation, and standards needed for future growth. The Program Manager will develop experiences using Found Village’s existing foundational structure and Developmental Framework, ensuring activities have clear developmental purposes, reinforce coaching and care management, and prepare young people for what comes next. The role will establish repeatable operating systems and create safe, inclusive environments where dignity, belonging, and strong relationships can grow. Young people will be engaged as planners, facilitators, advisors, ambassadors, and leaders, with their feedback informing program design and improvement. This is a hands-on, people-oriented builder role in a developing function. The Program Manager will initially learn and carry out coordinator work, then transition toward developing people and systems that sustain the work. The role directly supervises approximately two to three people and coordinates with colleagues and partners across teams. Success includes a coherent developmental programming portfolio, a capable team, strong community partnerships, and reliable systems that help others deliver consistently excellent experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and delivering youth development, education, nonprofit, community-based, or experiential learning programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing staff, volunteers, or cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to think in terms of developmental journeys rather than isolated events or activities.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, relationship-building, and community partnership skills.
  • A systems mindset, with experience improving workflows, documenting processes, and creating clear operating standards.
  • Ability to balance creativity, hands-on execution, long-term planning, and disciplined follow-through.
  • Commitment to youth partnership and to designing experiences with young people, not simply for them.
  • Comfort using feedback, participation information, outcomes, and reflection to improve programs.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn the work deeply before redesigning it.
  • Ability to use data, youth input, and emerging trends to guide programming.
  • Strong influencing and coordination skills, including the ability to move work forward without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Ability to connect effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds.
