About The Position

Amazon's Worldwide Grocery - Temp Distribution Center Operations Integration team (ATDC OI) is seeking a Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to lead strategic and tactical, cross-functional operations and technology projects. This role involves scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating status, risks, and process/product changes to senior management. The Program Manager will work with up to 10 different cross-functional teams and coordinate with dozens of individuals across three distribution centers. OI team members are expected to be network experts in their owned processes, requiring significant time on-the-floor with operators. This position is part of a fast-moving and growing business team, requiring an entrepreneurial self-starter with dedication, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work. The ATDC OI team is responsible for all projects impacting the network of three distribution centers, connecting upstream processes and systems with ATDC operations teams to ensure success, and looking downstream at spokes to ensure actions are in their best interests. Key aspects of the team's role include KPI development, reporting optimization, process design, and executional leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) full time experience
  • 2+ years of advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 2+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
  • Experience in MS Access and SQL
  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, develop, implement, and execute new and existing processes, policies, goals, and solutions to ensure optimal customer experience related to fulfillment solutions.
  • Drive development efforts and manage priorities for project/program completion, including operational solutions.
  • Create schedules, identify and communicate risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Develop system requirements to streamline and simplify tools used to manage and enhance operational productivity, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current or future fulfillment channel performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate with business systems and processes.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, supply chain, and fulfillment operations.
  • Maintain metrics, reports, and process documentation to monitor and analyze delivery performance and key business performance indicators.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and/or third party-vendors for implementation of project/program requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects, and using this data to drive/influence business decisions.
