About The Position

The Corporate Revenue Cycle Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Program Manager - Revenue Cycle - Data Analytics. As a Revenue Cycle Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for assessing current revenue cycle processes and workflows; identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, collaborating with teams (e.g., registration, billing, charging, coding, collections, and denials management) to streamline processes, reduce and recover denials, and optimize cash flow; and analyzing and monitoring revenue cycle metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Revenue Cycle Program Managers are experts in the subject matter and possess a comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle operations. Program Managers operate independently to analyze accounts receivable and ensure maximization of net revenue realization, stable cash collections, avoidance of denials and measured reduction to bad debt. Program Managers act as liaisons between central billing offices, facilities, and other stakeholders. The Analytics Program Manager serves as a leader and subject matter expert for all data, reporting, and analytics for Revenue Cycle operations, including database structures and interactions, linkages to user-facing systems and fields, and development of new and innovative analyses. The Analytics Program Manager is responsible for reviewing and manipulating raw data and leveraging data analytics to identify and communicate trends and issues, combining revenue cycle expertise with advanced analytics capabilities to transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and leading communication to the Central Business Offices (CBOs) and facilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • A college degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, health information management, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience working in a patient accounting system
  • Coordinating diverse stakeholders
  • Improving Revenue Cycle operations
  • Utilizing pattern analytics and industry best practices to enhance systems and operations
  • An advanced command of SQL programming, including complex query optimization and database management is required
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other types of programming languages and applications, including Python, Cache, Tableau, and Java is strongly preferred
  • Significant Revenue Cycle experience (i.e., 5+ years in addition to the minimum) might be accepted in lieu of certain college education requirements

Responsibilities

  • Leads efforts to maximize compliant revenue capture and cash collections through the development of innovative analytics, focusing on efforts related to payer reporting, workflow optimization, denials management, AR trending, productivity and quality management, and more
  • Designs and distributes monthly, weekly, and ad hoc reports for both internal and external parties including corporate departments, central billing office leaders, facility leaders, and consultants according to customer specifications
  • Reviews weekly reports to identify issues affecting the timely resolution of patient collections and communicates trends to end users, including central billing office and facility leaders
  • Supports efforts and initiatives related to system implementations, process and technology improvement, and standardization
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members
  • Performs all other duties as assigned/required
