About The Position
Elevate is Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) enterprise-wide initiative to reimagine how geospatial technology powers the energy network—one of the largest and most complex in the country. As part of PG&E’s digital transformation, Elevate is modernizing and standardizing the company’s Geographic Information System (GIS), a foundational platform that supports everything from infrastructure planning and asset management to emergency response. This is not just a technology upgrade—it’s a once-in-a-generation transformation. Elevate is bringing together electric, gas, power generation, land, and telecom systems into a single, integrated platform powered by Esri’s next-generation Utility Network, enabling a more accurate and dynamic representation of the energy grid. By replacing fragmented legacy environments with a modern, scalable, and data-driven platform, Elevate empowers teams across PG&E to work more efficiently, make better decisions, and deliver improved outcomes for customers and communities. The program creates a single source of truth for spatial data, unlocks advanced analytics and modeling capabilities, and integrates seamlessly with other enterprise systems. Elevate operates at the center of PG&E’s transformation ecosystem, working in close alignment with major initiatives such as Propel (ERP transformation), ADMS, and Billing Modernization. Together, these efforts are reshaping how PG&E delivers safe, reliable, and sustainable energy. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA, 3 days per week or more, based on business needs or company requirements. As a Program Manager within Elevate, you will be part of a high-visibility transformation that goes beyond technology delivery. This role manages aspects of Elevate program implementation and operations, and ensures the program is operating effectively. This role will require coordination with the Propel & Elevate PMO and Organizational Readiness (OR), Operating Model, Business & Site Readiness, and Value Management towers.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 10 years

Responsibilities
- Leads cross functional project teams through strategic outcomes (e.g., planning and executing strategic program offsites, peer utility benchmarking sessions, etc.).
- Identifies new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
- Develops and manages department expense budget. Regularly monitors expenses against forecast, providing explanation or justification for budget items and/or variances.
- Communicates status of various program adjacent initiatives to all stakeholders.
- Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
- Presents findings and makes recommendations to management.
- Works with all levels of management and senior leadership across functions to influence decisions.
