Program Manager Lead
About The Position
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a project that supports organisational outcomes and helps keep children safe across NSW. Lead a range of initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive delivery, change management, and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, temporary 12-month role located at Strawberry Hills with hybrid and flexible working arrangements. The Program Manager Lead is responsible for overseeing the implementation and delivery of multiple complex work streams arising from a functional review, following the completion of the initial design and review phases. As the organisation moves into delivery, the role provides strategic leadership and governance across a diverse portfolio of interconnected initiatives, ensuring recommendations are translated into sustainable business outcomes. The position manages competing priorities, risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations across multiple streams of work, while driving organisational change and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, governance requirements and delivery timeframes.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification or other relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant workplace experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex organisational change, transformation programs or implementation initiatives, including translating strategic recommendations into practical outcomes.
- Strong program and project management experience, with the ability to manage risks, dependencies and stakeholder engagement while building collaborative relationships and influencing outcomes across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- All roles within the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current Working with Children Check.
- Employment at the Office of the Children's Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of a portfolio of work streams arising from the functional review, providing expert advice, coordination and oversight to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively, risks are managed, and outcomes align with organisational priorities, governance requirements and strategic objectives.
- Drive the planning and delivery of multiple interrelated implementation initiatives, identifying dependencies, opportunities and constraints to maximise organisational benefits, support sustainable change, and achieve intended review outcomes.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of implementation planning and delivery, including developing business cases, implementation plans, governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms and resource strategies, to ensure work streams are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
