About The Position

The Program Manager I is responsible for providing administrative, operational and programmatic oversight for two interrelated but distinct programs: 1) the Institute for Health Equity Research’s Community Engagement Core (IHER CEC) and 2) the Career Opportunity and Support (COS) team within the Office of Professional Engagement and Development. The Program Manager I will develop and have a thorough knowledge of institutional and program policies and procedures and will be instrumental in managing and developing programs through IHER CEC and COS that support both these entities’ core missions. Time will be split between these distinct programs. The IHER CEC works toward optimizing the health and lives of groups most significantly and unjustly impacted by systemic inequities through representative and durable community partnerships. Through a variety of initiatives, we foster collaboration between researchers, community leaders, and residents to drive sustainable change and promote health equity. This work is community- and public health oriented. The Program Manager I will be responsible for developing and implementing workplans related to the CEC’s community board, community-engaged research seminar series, and other relevant tasks. The Program Manager I will also provide administrative support to IHER, creating and updating relevant content for LinkedIn, internal communications, and related tasks. The COS strives to create a culture where faculty, students, and trainees are all valued and have the opportunity to succeed and thrive. We work closely with individuals and leaders across Mount Sinai to provide programming and resources that enhance a fair, supportive environment for all.
