Homewise's Community Engagement Manager is a relationship builder, facilitator, and community organizer. Reporting to the Senior Director of Policy & Advocacy, you'll build trusted relationships with residents, neighborhood organizations, and community partners; lead public meetings, educational programs, and community events; and create opportunities for people to engage in local housing issues and build the skills to advocate for stronger, more livable communities. You'll support community engagement efforts for Homewise's residential and commercial developments, the Livability Speaker Series and Fellowship programs, and engage residents in the local and state policy landscape shaping housing in New Mexico. Working closely with the Policy & Advocacy, Marketing, and Real Estate Development teams, you'll cultivate meaningful relationships with residents and community partners, facilitate thoughtful conversations about housing and development, and help build stronger, more connected communities. You may be a great fit if you build trust easily across different kinds of people and groups, are comfortable running a room, can juggle several projects at once, think in relationships, not transactions, are organized enough to keep events, speakers, and logistics on track, follow policy conversations, communicate clearly, are flexible with your schedule, and take initiative.
