About The Position

Codeword is seeking a Program Manager to support Google's Energy & Power team. This role will be responsible for delivering reliable, scalable energy solutions for Google’s global operations. The Program Manager will act as the liaison between internal projects and financial operations, overseeing the process from initial planning through to final invoicing. The position requires managing financial and business workflows, bringing structure to requests, adapting to shifting priorities, and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will enjoy connecting strategy, spend, and operational excellence, and find satisfaction in maintaining organized trackers and streamlined processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • 1-2 years of experience in the energy sector (regulatory or commercial)
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with experience managing databases and executing on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex strategic and operational initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners
  • Ability to work across global time zones and drive teams to work toward priority objectives
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary lead for financial operations and business process workflows.
  • Manage and streamline the end-to-end purchase order (PO) lifecycle and invoicing schedules.
  • Maintain meticulous trackers, ensuring real-time visibility into project spend versus forecasts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency and financial compliance.
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with partners and ensure all logistics are covered.
  • Prepare and distribute clear agendas and capture key takeaways from meetings.
  • Support projects from kickoff to completion, keeping timeline on track.
