Program Manager 1 - Sierra Center Work Release (New Haven)
About The Position
The Program Manager 1 oversees daily program operations at Sierra Center Work Release, a residential program serving adults under the supervision of the Department of Correction. The program provides individualized treatment services, job preparation, and substance use education to support successful community re-entry and help participants avoid new offenses. Under the supervision of the Director, the Program Manager is responsible for program development, staff supervision and training, quality assurance, and program evaluation. The role supervises the Assistant Program Manager, Job Developer, and Case Management staff, and works with Community Justice program staff to rehabilitate, educate, and guide clients returning from incarceration to the community. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, on the first shift, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with evening and weekend flexibility to meet program needs. New hires must attend a mandatory two-day orientation at The Connection’s Roscommon office in Middletown.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five years of related experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Availability for evening and weekend flexibility to meet program needs.
- Attendance at a mandatory two-day new-hire orientation in Middletown if selected.
Responsibilities
