About The Position

Under the general direction of a supervisor, provide instruction, supervision, and support for youth programming. Instructors will deliver engaging, structured activities while supporting program operations, safety, and scheduling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work a flexible seasonal schedule

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with youth in an educational, recreational, or program setting preferred
• Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: Arts & Crafts, Sports & Recreation, Dance or movement, Music or Drama, Cooking or nutrition, Science or STEM activities
• Ability to engage youth in a positive and supportive manner
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and training in assigned program areas
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and lessons
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organized program environment
• Assist with daily program operations, including attendance, scheduling, and activity setup
• Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and supervisors
• Follow all Recreation Department policies, procedures, and safety requirements
