The Department of Recreation Studies is recruiting an instructor for the following courses: RECR 1166 Valuing Diversity in Recreation (Spring 2027), RECR 1001 Contemporary Issues and Trends in Community Recreation (Spring 2027), and RECR 1002 Integrative Praxis in Community Recreation (Summer 2027). A successful applicant new to the LFA employment group may be entitled to begin December 1, 2026, to allow for course preparation and set-up prior to the start of classes. The successful candidate is a recognized leader in Community Recreation and is prepared to actively promote the Recreation Leadership Diploma and Bachelor of Recreation Management to potential students. In addition, the successful candidate will have the desire and administrative and leadership skills to take on leadership roles within the Department such as Program Coordinator and/or Department Chair. While applications for individual courses will be considered, preference will be given to the candidate able to teach all of the courses listed above.
