About The Position

Samaritan Daytop Village is a nationally recognized comprehensive Health and Human Services Agency with over 60 programs across New York City and the greater New York Area, serving over 33,000 New Yorkers annually. The Program Director is responsible for the overall clinical management and administrative operations of their assigned program(s). This includes managing and monitoring the job performance of all program employees, assuring the quality of clinical services provided to persons served, and facilitating communication between program employees and agency administration.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work, or psychology or related field is required.
LMSW/LMHC/LMFT license; LCSW preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in behavioral healthcare, with at least three years in a supervisory or management role overseeing clinical and administrative functions.
Knowledge of evidence-based treatments, managed care principles, and behavior practices.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including the ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage staff effectively.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changes in a dynamic behavioral health environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and EHR.
Knowledge of OASAS, OMH, CSAT guidance.
Ability to implement and monitor policy and procedure in accordance with agency guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Experience in CCBHC programs preferred.
Professional experience in grant management and quantitative/qualitative analysis is preferred, particularly for CCBHC.
Seminar in Field Instructions (SIFI) preferred or willingness to obtain within One year from date of hire for all Program Directors that are Social Workers.

Responsibilities

Oversee program transformation and CCBHC compliance with federal and state requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor program evaluation plans, including performance measures, data collection, and reporting systems.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support program goals and continuous quality improvement.
Ensure 24/7 crisis services and comprehensive behavioral health services are available to all individuals, consistent with CCBHC standards.
Supervises and monitors environment to ensure that behavioral guidelines are followed, a therapeutic environment is maintained and interpersonal relationships remain positive.
Monitors quality, effectiveness and efficiency of program’s clinical services and safety of environment of care.
Manages program services, improves existing services and develops new treatment components to meet needs of persons served.
Helps develop, implement and deploy agency policy and procedures.
Provides clinical and administrative supervision to program staff.
Interviews, hires, trains, appraises, disciplines and may terminate subordinate staff.
Provides administrative supervision for site; ensures a safe and secure environment of care.
Ensures clinical staff maintains accurate, complete and timely records that comply with regulatory standards and agency internal policy and procedure.
Ensures that all program staff upholds the agency's Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics and comply with all Federal, state and local law/regulation, including 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
