About The Position

Dungarvin is hiring a Program Director to lead the Rohnert Park Day Program, a community-based service site for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a hands-on operational leadership position, not a desk-based or exclusively administrative or clinical role. The director is expected to be visibly present in daily program operations, coach staff on the floor, and provide support during situations involving complex behaviors, which may include physical aggression, self-injury, elopement, and property destruction. The Program Director oversees the full operation of the adult day program, including service delivery, staffing, scheduling, payroll, budget oversight, documentation, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and program performance. The role involves developing staff, implementing person-centered plans and behavior-support strategies, and fostering a structured, consistent, accountable environment for staff and individuals served. The director works with Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, families, residential providers, and other community partners. This is a full-time exempt position of 40 hours per week. The schedule must be flexible to accommodate program, individual, and staff needs. The posted salary range is $80,000 to $89,169.70, with future increases within the range based on tenure and performance under Dungarvin compensation guidelines.
