Program Delivery Director

EidraChicago, IL
$160,000 - $180,000Hybrid

About The Position

Eidra is expanding into the US market and is seeking an experienced Program Delivery Director to join their product and technology group in Chicago. This role requires a program leader who can balance strategic oversight with the operational depth of software development and technical delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting to senior client stakeholders and working with squad leads to navigate delivery and technical challenges, adapting their approach as needed. The role involves creating clarity across teams and stakeholders, establishing the program's operating rhythm, and ensuring work streams remain aligned, coordinated, and progressing with momentum. The Program Delivery Director will serve as the U.S. program delivery lead on a large global account, partnering with a Sweden-based program lead and a Chicago-based account team. The primary focus will be on delivery, ensuring the program operates smoothly and effectively by staying connected to work across multiple workstreams, maintaining visibility into dependencies, proactively surfacing risks, and helping teams move forward. The role also includes overseeing program financials, tracking actuals, monitoring burn against forecast, and supporting margin management. The Director will work through delivery leads managing individual squads, while remaining engaged enough to provide meaningful oversight and support. For complex workstreams, including a multi-squad mobile application program, the Director will need a strong understanding of progress, blockers, and key decisions to confidently engage with senior client stakeholders and drive resolution. A key aspect of the role involves shaping the day-to-day partnership operations, including establishing and evolving communication rhythms, decision-making approaches, and operating structures for distributed teams.

Requirements

  • ~ 10+ years leading large-scale, cross-functional technology programs at $20M+ scope, across multi-team or multi-vendor environments.
  • Financial fluency: owned program P&L or been close to it; know how to read burn, protect margin, and have honest conversations when numbers aren't tracking.
  • Ability to zoom out and zoom in: comfortable presenting a program health summary to a VP and untangling a delivery dependency with an engineering lead.
  • Strong command of mobile application delivery: understand how multi-squad programs are structured, where friction points lie, and how to keep complex releases on track.
  • A track record of building trust with senior stakeholders: communicate clearly, set expectations honestly, and raise issues before they surface.
  • Experience designing ways of working across geographies and time zones.
  • Familiarity with how AI and modern tooling can improve delivery operations.
  • A feel for right-sized process: build only the necessary scaffolding a program needs.
