About The Position

The Research Program Coordinator will assist in the development of programs, best practices, and standard operating procedures to achieve assigned goals related to research space support. This role will work directly with research staff at all levels, hospital support service departments, and external vendors in furtherance of program goals. Where needed, the Research Program Coordinator will also assist in the development and implementation of trainings for both research staff and support service departments. The Research Project Coordinator also plays an integral role in the day-to-day support of all research spaces as related to their support service department needs and interactions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Administrative or program support experience (3-5 years required).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A high degree of independent action and adherence to strict timelines is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in a Related Field of Study preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identifying opportunities for program creation and implementation across all research spaces.
  • Assist in the development of program plans, teams, and work assignments and direct the work efforts in furtherance of implementation of each program.
  • Act as the liaison to facilitate meetings between stakeholders.
  • Track and document project progress.
  • Develop communications to the research community and/or support services departments.
  • Create deliverables as related to each program, including best practices and SOPs.
  • Audit the implementation and results of each program for purposes of revision and compliance.
  • Maintain any necessary databases for all programs, including related support documentation, communications, and results.
  • Advocate for research staff in matters related to hospital maintenance and support of their space.
  • Work directly with support service departments and external vendors to ensure proper support is given to research space.
  • Provide needed follow-up on any space-related support issues.
  • Work with counterparts across the MGB network to advocate for BWH and establish best practices under PHS-wide programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
