About The Position

The Program Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling LADD’s mission to empower adults with developmental disabilities to live, work and connect. This role engages directly with developmentally disabled adults and their families based on their prescribed individual needs. The Program Coordinator is responsible for all essential functions and supervising Direct Support Professionals at assigned locations delivering services to individuals. This job description is not meant to encompass every task, skill, or situation that may be encountered in this role. It is meant to give an overview of the necessary functions, skills and experiences needed to successfully perform the job. Requirements

  • Supervising Direct Support Professionals at assigned locations delivering services to individuals
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have current auto insurance
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities
  • Experience in a supervisory role

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the day-to-day operations of each home as assigned
  • Coordinating and monitoring staffing and scheduling
  • Covering open shifts as needed
  • Managing House expenses per budget
  • Ensuring site safety, specific emergency training, and overall compliance
  • Training staff on specific processes, procedures, and practices
  • Ensuring daily documentation and reporting
  • Acting as community and family liaison for site, which may include new resident intake
  • Coordinating and managing individual services including individual service plans
  • Safely transporting individuals via car or van
  • Responding to rare “off hours” emergencies when necessary
  • Communicating timely with manager regarding pertinent issues and working collaboratively with peers and other departments
  • Communicating timely and accurately with families and guardian’s regarding changes
  • Modeling The LADD Way (TLW) and supervising direct reports ensuring their performance is aligned with TLW and the policies and practices set for the department
  • Representing LADD in a positive manner as appropriate
  • Staying up to date on industry practices and ensuring appropriate ongoing training of current staff
  • Keeping up-to-date on all relevant training and certifications
  • Serving as back-up to program manager when necessary and filling in for staff as needed
  • Serving as an advocate for the organization’s mission and programs in the community
  • Participating in interviewing for new employees at assigned location
  • Participating in all CPT meetings
