In this role, you will coordinate fiscal and grants management activities supporting the Alaska Reads Act, Early Learning programs, and the Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) Grant. Prepare budget materials, monitor expenditures and encumbrances, analyze fiscal trends, and compile financial and program reports. Maintain accurate grant and fiscal records, process reimbursement documentation, and track reporting requirements, deliverables, and deadlines. Use state accounting and grants management systems to reconcile information and help identify fiscal, documentation, or compliance concerns. Work closely with program staff and administrative partners to coordinate established fiscal, procurement, grant, and reporting processes. DEED provides leadership, resources, and support to strengthen Alaska’s K–12 public education system through statewide initiatives focused on student achievement, accountability, educator support, and continuous improvement. This position contributes to that work through strategic planning, cross-divisional coordination, legislative and board reporting, grant implementation support, and communication efforts that support Alaska’s students, educators, schools, and districts.
