The Green Bandana Project is a school-based program that increases students’ awareness of available mental health and suicide prevention resources and their ability to seek support before or during a mental health crisis. Student participants take a suicide prevention gatekeeper training, carry resource cards, and tie a green bandana to their backpack or another visible location to serve as a visual cue that they are members of the Green Bandana Project and equipped with knowledge about resources on campus that support student mental health. We are seeking a passionate, organized, and relationship-oriented Program Coordinator to support the growth and implementation of The Green Bandana Project in high schools, colleges, and universities across the United States. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will play a key role in expanding the program's reach by helping recruit new schools, managing onboarding and implementation processes, and serving as the primary point of contact for participating schools and campuses. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with educators, student affairs professionals, counselors, and student leaders to ensure successful program adoption and long-term engagement. The Program Coordinator will guide schools through every stage of participation—from initial outreach and enrollment to implementation and ongoing support—while helping maintain a high-quality participant experience. The role also supports program administration, data tracking, resource distribution, and continuous improvement efforts that contribute to the program's growth and impact.
