About The Position

As a Porchlight Project Program Coordinator, you will support grant activities in collaboration with the University of Minnesota research team for the Porchlight Project, which has been funded for a period of 5 years from 2/1/22 – 1/31/2027. The goal of the PorchLight Project is to provide volunteers with additional training in working with clients/families with memory loss, in order to enhance client/caregiver outcomes. The Program Coordinator will oversee program management (75%) and will participate in volunteer management, community engagement and client management activities, including work with internal and external parties. This position will be supported by funding through 1/31/2027. Continuation of the position beyond the grant period will be based on program performance and fiscal sustainability.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in healthcare, social services, or related field; or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of project management or coordination support experience in human/social service, healthcare and/or older adult services required.
  • Training in computer skills, bookkeeping and accounts receivable, computer spreadsheets and data management, word processing, excellent communication and customer skills is required.
  • Skills include organizational skills, problem solving and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Proven experience with detail-oriented tasks is required.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.

  • Multilingual abilities are preferred.
  • Knowledge of resources available in program participant’s community preferred.
  • Experience in program development or research is preferred.
  • Experience managing team members is preferred.
