About The Position

At Doctors of BC, the Program Coordinator, Provincial Coaching & Accreditation plays a central role in the coordination and delivery of physician leadership development programs. This position serves as the primary operational contact for the Provincial Coaching Program, managing its platforms and systems, including basic technical support. The role ensures a positive member experience from recruitment through onboarding and contributes to the planning of skill development sessions. The Coordinator works closely with physicians and other DoBC teams to facilitate engagement and coordinate networking and educational opportunities across the province. Additionally, the role performs key operational components of the Physician Leadership Scholarship Program, including application assessment and end-to-end coordination of the review and appeals process. A core component of this role is ensuring that all accredited learning activities developed by Doctors of BC meet national Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation standards. The Coordinator oversees accreditation processes across the organization, maintains compliance documentation, and provides guidance to internal teams to ensure learning activities meet accreditation requirements. This includes maintaining the internal accreditation hub, implementing quality control procedures, and coordinating external audits. The Coordinator monitors program data, identifies trends in leadership development, and ensures accurate reporting and reconciliation. This role supports continuous improvement and advances physician leadership and learning initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a specialized post-secondary diploma in a related field with up to two years of related experience, or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Specialized knowledge in a technical or professional discipline, preferably in a health, not-for-profit, government or business sector.
  • Ability to apply technical/professional concepts and applications to tasks or activities.
  • Adept at balancing major concurrent tasks and projects.
  • Working with internal and external parties in a coordinated manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing and developing databases for tracking team activity and projects.
  • Proven ability to respond to a wide variety of issues and deal with ambiguity and conflicting demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Effective writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Mac and PC based software, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
