About The Position

The Program Coordinator (PC) is the lead direct support professional for an assigned Supported Living Program in Lakewood, WA. The PC is responsible for providing direct support, hands-on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals. This is not a supervisory role. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director. Requirements

• 2+ years of caregiver experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be at least 21 years old
• HS Diploma or GED required
• People-oriented and have a team approach
• Dependable, adaptable, and flexible
• Good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal) to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.
• Able to attend two weeks of PAID in-house orientation and training

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred
• NAR Preferred

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Prepare meals and snacks. May include grocery shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with transportation needs for community outings, appointments, and errands
• Implement behavior supports and de-escalation during challenging behaviors
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.
• Administrative duties such as assisting with schedules, one-on-one training of staff, documentation and follow-up of individual and program related issues, and ensuring compliance with policies and Oregon Administrative Rules.
• Other duties as assigned
