Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalency
Experience in overseeing operations of programs and activities
Current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Attentive to detail

Nice To Haves

Bachelor Degree in related field
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
One year of related experience is preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee the operations of youth development programs or recreational programs and activities.
Coordinate youth activities and field trips.
Assist in interdepartmental and citywide events.
Perform administrative functions and public relations.
Assist in promoting and registering clients for programs.
Manage maintenance work orders.
Coordinate events and programs.
Gather appropriate materials for activities.
Provide tutoring and mentoring for youth and teen members.
Assist with teaching programs or classes.
Maintain parks or club spaces and facilities in good condition.
Conduct safety inspections of locations and equipment used by program participants.
Provide assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed.
