This position provides advanced-level professional consultation, coordination, and program support within the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Office of Child Welfare. Candidates with the following skills and experiences are encouraged to apply: Knowledge of federal and state Medicaid law, managed care operations, and compliance standards. Knowledge of child welfare systems and healthcare service delivery for vulnerable populations. Ability to support and monitor program elements related to compliance and service access. Requirements

  • Six years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR An advanced degree in a social science field, public health, counseling, social work, rehabilitation services, business, public, or health administration, or Juris Doctorate plus two years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services.

  • Knowledge of child welfare systems and healthcare service delivery for vulnerable populations

Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced support for monitoring Medicaid MCO compliance and program performance.
  • Maintains systems for tracking inquiries, complaints, and identified issues related to Medicaid service delivery.
  • Prepares summaries of reports of monitoring activities, including findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Supports development and tracking of corrective actions and performance improvement strategies.
  • Monitors federal and state Medicaid policy and regulatory requirement requirements.
  • Coordinates with LDH on Medicaid compliance monitoring activities and system alignment.
