About The Position

This position provides advanced-level professional consultation, coordination, and program support within the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Office of Child Welfare. Candidates with knowledge of child welfare systems and prevention-focused services, as well as knowledge of Medicaid policy and managed care systems, are encouraged to apply. Requirements

  • Six years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services; OR An advanced degree in a social science field, public health, counseling, social work, rehabilitation services, business, public, or health administration, or Juris Doctorate plus two years of experience in administrative services, public health, social services, or health services.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews medical and behavioral health information to identify services needs and systematic barriers
  • Participates in multidisciplinary care coordination staffing in an advisory capacity
  • Assist staff in interpreting medical documentation and provider recommendations
  • Tracks recurring issues and contributes to program-level recommendations
  • Communicate policy guidance and program expectations to staff and stakeholders
  • Reviews Medicaid policy, MCO guidance, and federal requirements for program alignment
