About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assisting Program Chair to join our Fort Worth Campus. This role involves assisting the Campus Dean in leading the medical assisting program, managing department personnel, and overseeing student relations. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, experienced education manager with a passion for the healthcare field and a desire to help others succeed.

Requirements

An associate degree or higher in medical assisting, nursing, chiropractic sciences, medicine, or healthcare-related discipline.
Must hold a current RMA, CCMA, or similar certification.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a medical assistant or healthcare provider.
At least one (1) year of in-class teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Develops the curriculum for the department.
Assists in the recruitment, orientation, and training of faculty.
Provides suggestions and recommendations to the Campus Dean regarding employee status changes (hiring, firing, promotion, demotion, discipline).
Exercises discretion and independent judgment within subject matter areas.
Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, and operates within state and federal statutes, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Assists in organizing and participating in student orientations and graduation ceremonies.
Assists in organizing and attending Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings.
Monitors and controls student attendance and attrition for the department.
Researches and implements technological changes in the field.
Completes CPR training or relevant refresher course, if required.
Supervises, coordinates, and directs the work of all employees in the academic program.
Provides assistance and support to the Campus Dean in implementing academic program objectives.
Teaches courses as required.
Travels as required.
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
