About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a Program Associate to provide direct support to adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Plainsboro, New Jersey. The role focuses on delivering quality care in a positive and empathetic manner and helping residents develop daily living skills and independence through personalized plans of care. The employee also plans community events and outings and communicates with residents, families, and guardians.

The posted schedule is Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Weekend availability is required. Bancroft describes the work as meaningful and team-oriented, while noting that each hour can be different and that caring for the people served can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver's license in good standing.
