About The Position

The Program Assistant will assist with programmatic and administrative duties to support the Procurement Unit. The incumbent will provide administrative support to assist with the day-to-day procurement activities. The incumbent will assist with procurement tracking and documentation, application systems, application review activities, communications, internal and external technical assistance, and post-award activities. The Program Assistant will maintain accurate and organized records; assist with preparing, processing, and updating procurement materials and systems; track activities, deadlines, and outstanding items; conduct routine follow-up; and provide support to Procurement Unit staff and internal and external partners in accordance with established procedures. The incumbent will assist with identifying and elevating non-routine issues, risks, or matters requiring programmatic, operational, or leadership decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and two years of general office, secretarial, or administrative experience; OR four years of such experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
