OPS - Program Assistant

Program Assistant•Orange, CA

About The Position

UF/IFAS is seeking a motivated and dedicated Program Assistant to help complete grant deliverables for the Reclaiming Water project. The project supports Florida water conservation by helping communities and educators address improper application of reclaimed irrigation water, which can contribute to runoff or leaching into local waterways. The position will help transition the established Reclaiming Water curriculum to future educators and communities throughout Florida. Working with the Principal Investigator (PI), the Program Assistant will identify municipal, utility, and Extension professionals interested in implementing the curriculum and maintain contacts to support future program delivery and educator training. The position will also support a couple of final workshops, which may include mailing the associated flipbook, and help prepare the final FDEP grant report for submission in summer 2027. The role includes compiling project documentation and supporting materials; helping develop educator replication resources; coordinating required review and approval of draft materials by the PI and FDEP before public distribution; and preparing a final report covering project activities, outcomes, deliverables, finances, and education-campaign effectiveness. The position is time-limited and scheduled for 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, at an agreed-upon time. Compensation is $20 per hour, commensurate within that range based on qualifications and experience.
