About The Position

Action Pact is a community action agency dedicated to improving lives and communities for over 50 years. We are seeking a full-time Program Assistant to join our team at the Senior Citizens Center in Metter, GA. In this role, you will work closely with County Coordinators to manage all aspects of county service center operations, including Senior Center programs. You will assess clients to identify their needs and goals, and then provide or arrange services to promote self-sufficiency. Collaboration with other service providers and local businesses is key to ensuring clients have access to the maximum number of resources. This position offers a challenging and meaningful work experience.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of related experience

Responsibilities

Assists county coordinator with all aspects of county service center operations.
Assesses clients as assigned to determine needed service(s) to satisfy immediate needs as well as goals for the future.
Provides or arranges for an array of services designed to help increase self-sufficiency.
Collaborates with other service providers and local businesses to ensure the maximum number of resources for each client.
Responsible for management of assigned program components.
Responsible for site management in county coordinator’s absence.
Provide quality customer service to external and internal customers.
Assist county coordinator in establishing program objectives.
Mobilize local resources as assigned to achieve program objectives.
Responsible for collecting information and preparing reports as assigned.
Assist county coordinator in maintaining a clean, safe facility.
Attend and participate in training as assigned.
Maintain a private automobile with proper liability insurance and a Georgia Driver’s License.
