About The Position
The Program Assistant II - Special Education position assists certified staff in providing instruction to individual or small groups of students. This role involves monitoring and reporting on student progress. For K-12 classroom positions, candidates must meet specific educational requirements.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with parents, students and faculty.
- Demonstrated people skills to indicate ability to function in a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma, GED Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law.
- For K-12 classroom positions, a minimum of 48 college hours is required, or the candidate must take the ParaEducator Exam.
