COMPLIANCE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR Job Location: ADDRESS: 501 N. 24TH STREET, PHOENIX, AZ 85008 Posting Details: SALARY: $90,000 GRADE: 25 CLOSING DATE: Job Summary: The Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Administrator supports the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) by providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of all regulatory compliance activities to ensure the Hospital adheres to all applicable federal, state and local regulations, accreditation standards and internal policies. This role monitors changes in regulatory requirements, coordinates implementation of new requirements, oversees regulatory readiness initiatives and compliance risk assessment and mitigation strategies. This role supervises the Compliance Program Manager and Policy Compliance Manager responsible for internal audits, mock surveys, plans of corrections and follow-up monitoring and for coordination of the Hospital's policy management system ensuring policies are current, compliant and implemented.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including CMS Conditions of Participation and accreditation standards.
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skill
Demonstrated ability to lead compliance programs and manage regulatory risk.
Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate the into operational processes.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, behavioral health, or related field required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs quality management, survey readiness or related field.
Currently certified by CHC - Certified in Healthcare Compliance or certification obtained within 18 months of the date of hire.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health Law or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with accreditation and regulatory surveys preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure regulatory requirements are met at all times to include the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Hospital Conditions of Participation (CoPs), The Joint Commission standards, and state licensing healthcare institution (HCI) rules. Maintain survey readiness by acting as the lead in regulatory compliance activities, coordinating mock surveys and readiness assessments to identify and correct deficiencies before formal inspections. Ensure timely and effective responses to survey findings including plans of correction and follow-up monitoring.
Direct internal auditing and monitoring activities, review and report findings and identified trends, oversee and track plans of correction and preventative action to ensure timely and sustainable resolution, prepare reports for the CCO, executive leadership and Hospital Committees on audit outcomes and compliance risks, Maintain documentation and data tracking systems related to regulatory compliance activities.
Support overall compliance program operations, partner with the CCO to maintain an effective compliance framework and promote a culture of safety, accountability and ethics across the organization; serve as a key liaison between Hospital leadership, clinical departments and regulatory agencies, in the absence of the CCO as the primary point of contact for surveyors and regulatory agencies
Oversee management and review of Hospital documents including polices, plans, procedures and guidelines ensuring documents are current, compliant effectively communicated and consistently implemented across the organization.
Develop and deliver compliance education and training for staff, leadership and providers to promote awareness of regulatory requirements and survey preparedness. Maintain documentation required for regulatory inspections and internal governance.
Other duties as assigned as related to the position (typically 5% - 10%)
