Multiple Open-Rank Professor Tenure-Track Positions in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, or Strategy
About The Position
The Management and Organization (M&O) Department in the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill two full-time tenure-track professor positions in the areas of Organizational Behavior (OB), Organizational Theory (OT), or Strategy. These positions can be filled at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The desired start date is Fall 2027. Candidates completing their PhD are eligible for Assistant Professor appointments. For Associate or Full Professor ranks, applicants must demonstrate a strong record of high-quality scholarly research and teaching competence. All candidates must hold a PhD in Management or a related field by the appointment start date. Senior candidates must also show a significant publication record in high-quality journals and demonstrable impact on the field.
Requirements
- PhD in Management or a related field by the appointment start date.
- For Associate or Full Professor rank: a proven track record in conducting high-quality scholarly research and demonstrated teaching competence at a high level.
- For Associate or Full Professor rank: a sufficient number of publications in high-quality journals and sufficient impact of that work on the field.
- Publications in premier journals.
- A research program with high-impact or such potential underway.
- Able to connect with a wide array of doctoral students and faculty in our department.
Responsibilities
- Pursue an active research program.
- Perform undergraduate and/or graduate teaching.
- Supervise graduate students.
- Engage in professional service.
- Onsite teaching is an essential function of the job.
