The Department of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track or tenured faculty appointment in its MSW Graduate Program. This is a full-time faculty contract beginning Fall 2027 and requires the successful candidate to be present in Colorado on the University’s Auraria campus for in-person teaching and other activities. New tenure-track faculty participate in a year-long mentoring program and, during their first year, the Roadrunner Faculty Academy, with additional opportunities to connect with affinity groups and mentoring networks. The faculty member will lead specific courses and update and modify online and on-campus course materials. The position also includes advising approximately 40 students, including documenting career and professional advising; maintaining a scholarly agenda and producing quality scholarship; and providing service to departmental, college, university, professional, and community organizations. Teaching, scholarship, and service include intentional participation in and application of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Release time may be provided for significant administrative duties beyond service, and other duties may be assigned.
