Tulane University School of Law invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, faculty position as Professor of the Practice of Law, teaching in the Academic Success program. This appointment is on the Law School’s Professor of Practice (POP) track, with an initial contract of three to five years, renewable. The Academic Success program supports student achievement during law school and bar exam preparation for graduates. The POP will teach a minimum of two courses annually, initially focused on preparing students for common law bar exams. These courses will supplement commercial bar preparation courses by providing targeted instruction in legal analysis, essay writing, multiple-choice strategies, and jurisdiction-specific content. In addition to classroom teaching, the POP will conduct academic support programming year-round, including individualized academic coaching. The POP will also collaborate with faculty and administrative leaders to develop programming that supports students with diverse backgrounds and experiences. This POP position will report directly to the Director of Academic Success and work closely with other student-facing leaders.
