About The Position

The Freeman School of Business at Tulane University is seeking to fill a full-time, non-tenure system faculty position in Information Systems within the Management Science area. This role, at the rank of Professor of Practice, is a three-year appointment commencing July 1, 2027. The position offers a competitive salary, teaching load, and benefits comparable to other leading research institutions. Hiring is contingent upon final budgetary approval from the University. Professors of Practice and Lecturers at the Freeman School are responsible for delivering demanding undergraduate and graduate courses, frequently incorporating experiential learning. They are also expected to maintain active engagement in their respective fields through professional and scholarly endeavors. Service contributions to the Management Science Area, the Freeman School, and Tulane University are anticipated. Requirements

  • Professionally qualified (Master's Degree in Management Science or a related field and a substantial record of recent professional experience) OR Academically qualified (Ph.D. in Management Science and actively engaged in scholarly and/or professional engagement activities).
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills and/or success in classroom teaching.
  • Experience with experiential learning.
  • Ability to build relationships with industry partners.
  • Expertise in advanced business analytics.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, R, and Python.
  • Proficiency in data visualization, using Tableau and/or Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver rigorous undergraduate and graduate courses, often with an experiential learning focus.
  • Remain active in their fields through professional and scholarly activities.
  • Provide service to the Management Science Area, the Freeman School, and Tulane University.
