About The Position

The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking applicants for an Assistant, Associate, or full Professor of Neurology to join its NAEC level 4 F.E. Dreifuss Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. The ideal candidate will have training and experience with all aspects of clinical epilepsy. The position includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities specializing in the treatment of patients with epilepsy. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of resident, fellow trainees and medical students. Evidence of academic productivity is highly valued. Rank and compensation is dependent upon qualifications, experience, and scholarly achievement. This position may be tenure eligible. There are diverse opportunities for emphasis, including epilepsy surgery, subspecialty clinics, clinical trials, fellowship education, and epilepsy center administration, among others. The University of Virginia and affiliated UVA Health form the premier institution for medical research and clinical care in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Requirements

  • MD, DO or other equivalent terminal degree.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
  • Training and experience with all aspects of clinical epilepsy.
