The University of Alabama School of Law seeks qualified applicants for the position of Professor of Legal Writing at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. This is a 9-month position on a contract basis with an initial three-year term, with subsequent three-year terms presumptively renewable. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the growth, development, and improvement of the legal writing program. If appointed as Director of the Legal Writing Program or Director of the Moot Court Program, the candidate may have a reduced teaching load and additional responsibilities. The Director of Legal Writing guides program development and supports faculty, while the Director of Moot Court oversees the 2L Moot Court Competition and advises the Moot Court Board.
