About The Position

The University of Washington (UW), Department of Pediatrics, Division of Endocrinology is recruiting for a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Clinical Practice Track. The mission of the Division of Endocrinology is to be the clinical center of choice for children and adolescents with endocrine conditions or diabetes in the Puget Sound and WWAMI Region, providing compassionate, innovative, evidence-based, and equitable care. The Program aims to advance the understanding and treatment of hormonal disorders through new technologies, collaborative investigation, and expansive educational programs, striving for national and international recognition in clinical care, teaching, and research. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30), paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period, allowing for one month of paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Pediatric Endocrinology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington
  • For H-1B visa sponsorship: graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent.
